DESCRIPTION
For years, conservative commentators walked a careful line when criticizing Trump. I believe that line is finally collapsing. In this video, I break down why I think figures like Matt Walsh and Megyn Kelly are reaching a turning point in their relationship with Trump — particularly over the escalating conflict with Iran. After Netanyahu’s claims about nuclear timelines and imminent threats, Trump defended military action while leaving the door open to further escalation. But the messaging, in my view, does not hold up under scrutiny. I examine what I see as a core contradiction: if Iran’s nuclear capabilities were “obliterated,” how can they simultaneously be months away from unstoppable capacity? I then analyze Matt Walsh’s visible discomfort with the administration’s logic, Megyn Kelly’s reaction to American casualties, and Marco Rubio’s unwillingness to rule out ground troops. My argument is not that every conservative voice has abandoned Trump — far from it. Rather, I believe this moment exposes a fracture between loyalty to a political figure and loyalty to an audience that identifies as America-first rather than personality-first. With Trump no longer facing future elections, I argue that his incentives have shifted — and conservative media figures may now be forced to choose whether they follow him unconditionally or begin openly dissenting. This could be the beginning of a realignment within MAGA media. Subscribe for direct, independent political analysis focused on media narratives and internal ideological shifts.
